Summary :
PULSAR
Pulsar: abbreviation of the astronomical term "Pulsating Star".

The pulsar is a galactic object, a neutron star born following a collapse, which is characterized by an intense electromagnetic emission - radio waves, X impulses and syncopated optical frequencies. X impulses are the consequence of thermonuclear flashes triggered once the matter accreted on the surface of a pulsar reaches critical pressure and temperature. The pulsar is a radiosource. The collapse which creates the pulsar accelerates its rotation and imprisons its magnetic induction which then becomes extremely intense. Matter fragments which seem to move at speeds equal to 10 times that of the light (superluminous jets) converge on the observer. (Notes from astronomical sources)
"Pulsar" belongs to "The Angel Cycle" ("Le Cycle de l´Ange"). In this cycle of works we create bonds between the human body and astronomical bodies. Maria Klonaris´ improvised performance is a negative dance which lies between pleasure and catastrophe, a black and blue body language which grapples with the white of the screen and the luminous suddenness of a firework display.
