Au commencement l'image respire du noir autour du buste figé de l'artiste. Un écran clair-obscur révèle une constellation de sons (souffle et silence) et de mouvements lumineux. L'ombre semble sans cesse glisser et ainsi délivrer une étrange clarté pour en définitive s'imposer. Alors surgit le conflit : lutte du blanc et du noir, du bleu et du jaune, pour occuper l'espace, vibration lumineuse, éclairs qui éclaboussent une main, un bras, la matière d'un pull et enfin le balancement lancinant d'une ampoule électrique… Synopsis écrit par Marc Mercier
In the beginning, the image breathes darkness around the artist's frozen bust. A chiaroscuro screen reveals a constellation of sounds (breathing and silence) and light movements. The shadow seems to be forever sliding, thus giving out a strange light, before eventually taking over. Then the conflict arises : a struggle between black and white, blue and yellow, to fill the space, a luminous vibration, flashes which bespatter a hand, an arm, the texture of a sweater and finally, the monotonous swaying of a light bulb…
