"Personal statement" est le 19e volet du "Cycle de l’Ange" que nous réalisons depuis 1985 : installations, performances multimédia, photographies, pièces sonores, créations radiophoniques, livre d’artiste.
Un ensemble d’œuvres qui prend comme matrice une photographie médicale d’hermaphrodite que nous avons associée à l’"Ange".
"Personal statement" met en scène des traitements photographiques du document médical original. Les images se déploient verticalement pendant que des mains féminines (Katerina Thomadaki) tentent de caresser ce corps mutant. La voix off (Maria Klonaris) s’adresse au sujet photographié.

« Personal Statement » is the 19th part of the « Cycle de l’Ange » that we produce since 1985: installations, multimedia performances, photographs, acoustic works, radio creations, artist books. A set of works that has as a matrix a medical photograph of a hermaphrodite, associated to the “Angel”.
“Personal Statement” stages photographical treatments of the original medical document. The images unfold vertically while feminine hands (Katerina Thomadaki) try to stroke this mutant body. The off-screen voice (Maria Klonaris) talks to the photographed subject.
