L'installation OF PERSISTENCE OF ABSENCE d'Irit BATSRY fut créée au Musée d'Art Moderne de Rio de Janeiro en 1991. Cette installation montrait une barque remplie de sable avec l'empreinte du pied d'une personne absente. Au dessus de la tête de cette personne, un moniteur diffuse une bande qui comprend notamment un texte de Buckminster FULLER. Ce même texte est inscrit sur une baie vitrée et se superpose à la ville, devenant une étape de cette interrogation sur le dehors et le dedans.
Irit BATSRY 's installation OF PERSISTENCE OF ABSENCE was created at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio in 1991. This installation was made of a boat filled with sand, with the footprint of an absent person. A monitor shows a tape which includes a text by Buckminster FULLER over the top of the head of that person. This same text is written on a French window and is superimposed over the city, becoming a stage in that questioning about the outside and the inside.
