comme, à la fois, fondement poétique et méthode de travail. Santiago du
Chili et Berlin deviennent, dans un échange d'impression, de sons, d'images
et de textes, les deux pôles d'un espace de rancsubjectif, dans l'expérience
existentielle de rester un étranger, partagé entre ce besoin de distance et
le désir d'appartenir à une terre.
Ce travail video est réalisé en trois langues (espagnol, anglais, allemand) sans traduction.
Based upon an audiovisual correspondence, "common place" is built upon
exchange and dislocation as poetic foundations and working methods. Working
in and with displacement and constant movement, the tape is above all
expression of an activity unfolding through time, that builds bridges
between here and there, now and then, one and other. Santiago de Chile and
Berlin-Germany, become, in the exchange of gazes, sounds, images and texts
that travel in the everyday, the poles of a place common only in
subjectivity, in the exercise of being a foreigner as existential position,
tensed between the need of distance and the desire of belonging.
