La série "Cent fois sur le métier" a été lancée par un appel aux réalisateurs à l'initiative de Wallonie Image Production. Cette série propose de montrer les signes, les lieux et les outils du travail, cela afin de pallier à une curieuse absence de réalisations sur ce thème. Elle comprend D'UNE TRAME A L'AUTRE, ECLUSES, LE GUICHET, COTE ET COURS. Les gens sont là. Ils attendent. Un timbre, un cachet, une signature, un papier. Pour l'obtenir, ils s'installent pour la matinée, dans le calme, l'ennui ou l'agacement. Les employés aussi s'agitent. Ils ouvrent et ferment des tiroirs, manipulent des fichiers, tapotent des claviers, sourient ou s'énervent. A travers ce cadre étroit de communication, des gens de chair et d'os négocient leur existence sociale.
The series "One hundred times on the trade" was launched with a call to film-makers' projects by Wallonie Image Production. This series aims to show the signs, the places and the tools of labour, so as to make up for the strange lack of films on this theme. It includes D'UNE TRAME A L'AUTRE, ECLUSES, LE GUICHET, COTE ET COURS. The people are there, waiting. For a stamp, a seal, a signature, a document. To get it, they sit there all morning, peaceful, bored, or irritated. The employees also move around, opening and closing drawers, handling files, typing on keyboards, smiling or getting upset. In this narrow communication framework, flesh and bone human beings negotiate their social existence.
