A l'occasion du 50ème anniversaire du débarquement en Normandie, Anne et Patrick POIRIER ont réalisé une spectaculaire installation dans l'église désacralisée St-Nicolas-de-Caen. Cette installation mêle écrans vidéo, bateaux de pêches et tuyauteries, alignés sous le "vaisseau" central de l'église. L'installation est commentée par une discussion des deux artistes avec l'écrivain Serge RIVRON. Yves BOURGET, le réalisateur, a parfaitement saisi la poésie et la force inhabituelle de cette oeuvre.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Normandy Landing, Anne and Patrick POIRIER made a spectacular installation in the desecrated church of St.-Nicolas-de-Caen. This installation mixes video screens, fishing boats and pipes lined up in the central nave of the church. The installation is commented on in a discussion between the two artists and the writer Serge RIVRON. Yves BOURGET, the director, has perfectly captured the poetry and the unusual power of this work.
