Ce film en Split Screen constitue une vision apocalyptique et multiple de l’histoire du Japon et de l’avènement de la bombe à Hiroshima. Une vision bicéphale.
Note d’intention:
Après la réalisation du film LE CONTE DU MONDE FLOTTANT / Ukiyo Monogatari - (2001), l'évènement du 11 septembre me pousse à élargir ma vision faite du Japon par l'idée d'un titre "Dripping" en référence au courant pictural et "Ground Zero" terme commun au point de chute (Drop) de la bombe américaine sur Hiroshima et au site des deux tours du World Trade Center désormais rebaptisé "Ground Zero".
This Split Screen film is an apocalyptic and multiple vision of the history of Japan and the advent of the bomb in Hiroshima. A two-headed vision.
Statement of intent:
After making the film THE TALE OF THE FLOATING WORLD / Ukiyo Monogatari - (2001), the event of September 11 pushed me to broaden my vision of Japan with the idea of a title "Dripping" in reference to the pictorial movement and "Ground Zero" a term common to the point where the American bomb dropped on Hiroshima and the site of the two towers of the World Trade Center now renamed "Ground Zero".
