Hommage à la couleur blanche, à MALEVITCH ("Moby Dick"). Le récit d'une enquête sur un peintre disparu en mer. Envoyé à un ami, son testament artistique prend la forme d'un film Super 8 tourné dans le port de New-York et dans les forêts enneigées du Canada. Il nous fait découvrir sa passion fatale pour la couleur blanche. Travail graphique sur la texture du blanc, les images super 8 sont retravaillées comme un motif lancinant à la palette graphique, utilisée comme le "glacis" en peinture.
An homage to white color and to MALEVICH ("Moby Dick"), this is the story of an inquiry about a painter lost at sea after having sent an amateur super-8 film of the New York City harbour and of Canadian snowy forests to a friend, by way of an artistic legacy. It make us discover his deadly passion for the color white. With a graphic work on the texture of that color, the super-8 images are reprocessed like a monotonous pattern, thanks a graphics tablet that is used like glaze in painting.
