"When I find inspiration from something and I decide the sturcture of my next object, I remain ignorant of whay it will become, of the emotional and visual impact that it will have. I let it build itself, supported by my assistance. And then, at a certain moment, the most important is to prevent myself from imposing my desire to something that already functions according to its own logic. (...) The true drama appears from non-dramatic ingredients. If there is no the dramatic development, no paroxysmal crisis, it gives us the possibility to seek elsewhere, in movement, speed, color, sound."(text published in tema celeste / contemporary art, No. 99 (Milan / New York, 2003).
