Summary :
Michael SMITH and Doug SKINNER are two performing artists who set about trying to give value to the banality and comedy so typical of popular comedy. With this aim, the game, and their scenario as well as their costumes are chosen and put together with reference to exaggerated stereotypes, like the words of puppets which are here abundantly used as an extension of their characters. This piece of scathing humour captures the banality of the average citizen in four pieces : - "the Cocktail Party", where Doug and Mike look back on a pleasant party with Shane and Cory where they created their personal cocktail : "Gibsonetto". - "Doug and Mike weigh their chances" : after a successful puppet show, Doug and Mike relax by a bar and envisage starting a political career. - "Shane and Cory", where Doug and Mike imitate Shane and Cory (in the form of puppets), two students in their drama art course who have a lot to say about their teachers. - "Mr. Woodies Goodies" : Kevin and Jason, the young nephews of Doug and Mike, reinvent fascinating dialogues for a short film of the Sixties showing superb "pin-ups" of the masculine sex.
