It is as tourists/onlookers that we are invited into the paradoxical world of IF EVER THE SEA. In this hypothetical landscape, half-sand quarry, half-desert, the sea settles in... Mirages, illusions, our disconcerted glance hesitates and then dives down. These fictitious spaces evoke tourist photography and holiday movies. They testify to our taste for the grandiose and remind us of the world of landscape, a show which the media have accustomed us to.
