Footsteps and shattered glass are the striking elements of this new video by the master of rythmic montage : eddie d. In fact, this is not simply a single channel videotape but images and sounds used in a polyphonic conception. By composing very differently, the artist has made a very personal and melancholy tape, in which manifold images (and their sounds) appear simultaneously on a single screen and become musical, rhythmical and graphic structures, original and innovative. With this graphic composition, eddie d has explored the collage techniques now made possible by the latest digital video-editing tools.
