Summary :
"Nalingi Congo/I Love Congo" is a dvd consisting of 3 tracks based on a Song of the same name. Some of the lyrics are from comments overheard in the street, brought about by Elu's presence.The title "I Love Congo" was taken from the omnipresent plastic shopping bags with those words printed on them.Track 1 is the Music Video of the Song. Tracks 2 and 3 are like bonus tracks where the focus is not on song but on the harmonica dance during a live performance in the community and some few moments from a performance in a Kinshasa night club. The chorus(refrain)is written in Lingala (local congolese language) meaning "Black and white get together and give birth to color". The rest of the song is written in French and speaks about how we can never seperate black&white (like night & day or yin & yang-the one cannot exist without the other) and how we are all the same on the same pathway. "Nalingi Congo/I Love Congo" was written during a residency at the festival "Les Scénographies Urbaines" in Kinshasa, when Elu had the opportunity to collaborate with congolese musicians. A contribution to the newfound democracy of the DRC.
