Summary :
This film tries to cover the essence of the various fields of androgyny on the eve of the year 2000 : religious, historical, artistic, anatomic, legal, but also of everyday life and prospects, as a complement to the ancient myth of originally bisexual divinities. This essay on hermaphroditism, a phenomenon which is little known and even taboo, is also a confrontation between a symbolist ideal and an often painful and obscure reality. This video is as hybrid as its subject and is accompanied by a text where masculine and feminine blend (by the way, is a hermaphrodite masculine or feminine ?). So is this androgyny or gynandromorphism ?
