Born in 1954 in Croydon, England. Gavin Hodge works with video, film, photography and printing techniques. Between 1979 and 1989, Hodge is the founder and director of various video workshops in England, and became, among other things, director of "33 Video Cooperative Ltd" in Luton. In 1984, he founded "Gorilla Tapes Ltd" in collaboration with Jon Doey, Tim Morrison and Jean McClements, and produced "Death, Valley Days" and other video works for Channel 4 and BBC.
Since 1989, Gavin Hodge lives and works in Berlin as a director / freelance editor.
